About the Company
eko•ILS Logistics GmbH was founded in 1982 and is based in Bremen-Aumund, Germany. For more than four decades, eko•ILS Logistics GmbH has been active as a service provider for both civilian and military projects. A branch office was established in 1988 in Sande-Mariensiel, outside Wilhelmshaven, which was then relocated to Friedeburg in 2019.
Our current staff of around 50 employees is comprised of engineers, technicians, software developers, editors, translators and graphic designers from various disciplines. This allows eko•ILS Logistics GmbH to operate in all areas of logistics and to offer holistic logistics solutions.
eko•ILS Logistics GmbH offers more than project support. Our main focus is on creating technical documentation, analyses, studies and concepts, and conducting training courses. eko•ILS Logistics GmbH also provides a wide range of development and support services for tailor-made IT solutions for our entire service spectrum.
The profound knowledge and experience that we have accumulated over the years from these fields of activity have also allowed us to successfully apply this knowledge and experience when it comes to providing holistic technical-logistical support (TLS) for equipment, facilities and systems for the public sector. In conjunction with these TLS-related tasks, we have also developed other key services such as construction status management, obsolescence management and configuration management services from our life-cycle support related tasks.
Philosophy
The content of our work and our specialist expertise are all based on complex technical and procedural interrelationships. Mastering these is a prerequisite but no guarantee of success.

Logistics Engineering
Similar to a project's technical requirements, logistics engineering – often referred to as LSA, or Logistics Support Analysis – is the prerequisite when it comes to "logistics design".
LSA is the prerequisite for analysing, defining, elaborating and designing the various logistics related elements and products in the form of data and documents.
LSA is the key to ensuring the effectiveness of the logistical measures for the life cycle of the underlying technical configuration.
ASD S2000M Material Documentation
eko•ILS Logistics GmbH is one of the leading service providers and points of contacts when it comes to spare parts documentation and management. Our service spectrum covers the entire range of spare parts master list creation (ETU/IPL), the cataloguing process, and the creation of IPD modules for the spare parts catalogue. All of these steps are performed in accordance with the ASD S2000M specification and the DB S2000M national implementation regulation.
We provide software-based procedures for processing existing "legacy data" and transferring this data to the "new world" of the latest ERP systems.
ASD S1000D Interactive Electronic Technical Documentation
eko•ILS Logistics GmbH has become a renowned service provider and point of contact when it comes to creating technical documentation for the AECMA and ASD/AIA S1000D specifications.
Our experience in this regard has allowed us to successfully complete a large number of projects for the German Navy and Air Force as end users and, in recent years, for a large number of system manufacturers and suppliers as well.
Project Supervision and Support
As today’s technical configurations have become increasingly complex, the demands on the accompanying logistics services and products have increased as well. When it comes to providing the necessary project components, we at eko•ILS Logistics GmbH are ready to support our customers in all aspects – in terms of expertise, content and personnel.
After all, continuous technical-logistical support is becoming more and more important in the life cycle of many of our customers' products, thus extending above and beyond the basic project and procurement phase.
Technical Documentation
By applying the project-specific requirements and the current regulations valid for the respective application, we at eko•ILS Logistics GmbH are able to create high-quality technical documentation for a wide variety of applications and scopes in close collaboration with the customer. Together with our customers, we analyse the documentation requirements for the operation, in-service use, function, maintenance, and repair of the related components, as well as any spare parts catalogue and catalogue system, and are able to offer you a suitable solution.
Analyses and Reports
As the technical complexity of the hardware in question has increased, so have the legal and normative requirements and demands on the distributor. Our service portfolio provides support to our customers in this regard, for example in creating:
- documents for CE marking,
- risk assessments (RA),
- environmental impact analyses (EIA),
- and IT security concepts.
We provide our customers with properly trained and experienced staff once a contract has been awarded.
Software, Content Management and Retrieval Systems for IETD
Pragmatic approaches and procedures have convinced us that the necessary IT support based on the principle: "from practical experience, for practical application" is the most efficient solution for our range of services.

Providing quality-assured services that go above and beyond our contractual obligations is standard practice in all areas of eko•ILS Logistics GmbH. The prerequisites and processes to be applied for this purpose are documented in our Integrated Management System (IMS). Their application is understood and the basis of the day-to-day operations of all of our staff.
